Does anyone else think that producing bio-fuel rather than feeding people is ludicrous?
Hi Waldo, good to hear from you! The thing is, I wouldn't have a problem 'feeding my car' if there was enough food for people. Problem is, there isn't. We're heading rapidly into large food price increases around the world - and regardless of the price of gas (which is 75% taxes, by the way...) we have a clear responsibility to put people FIRST.
I'm an economic consultant, perpetual expat, often lost, curious, religious, secular, illogical and hesitant.
This blog is somewhat of a travelogue, a political and economic commentary board.
Your comments and emails are both welcome and encouraged; this blog is meant to be read and it's nice to know that it is! Agree, disagree, object, discuss...
Thank you for wasting your working hours here.

I know we make jokes about it, but in truth it's kind of scary, isn't it?
I mean, we're now FEEDING our cars instead of feeding people.
And, I live in Kansas City, of which there is probably a photo of, next to the definition of "urban sprawl." So, I guess I'm a part of the problem.
